INNOVATION
NATION
Designed cover art for 'Innovation Nation,' a thought-provoking podcast exploring the forefront of technology and AI, examining both contemporary implications and the future of innovation. Commissioned by client David Kim, the project encompassed the design of a cohesive visual identity, including episode cover art, posters, and a billboard series to elevate the podcast's presence across multiple platforms.

Process
Initial Vision
The initial vision for the cover was to depict a robot/animatronic in theme with the podcast. Then there was the challenge of finding out a way to incorporate squares/glitchy elements to reflect the idea of the digital and technological world. Various thumbnail sketches were made to figure out how this would be achieved.

Final Lockup
Type Lockup
Used the typeface 'Cy' for it's geometric and angular letter forms, which paired nicely with the overall tech aesthetic. Repeated a specific form of the letter 'N' that appeared as a ligature that felt much more angular and appropriate.

Cover Art Creation
Initial imagery was created, and then brought into photoshop for further manipulation, and a 7x8 grid was created to map out the square effect.
